Amid the celebrations over the historical opening collections of his latest film 'Vedalam', Thala Ajith got admitted to a hospital yesterday for a shoulder and knee surgery.

After the surgery, Ajith will have to take a few months rest and he will be ready to be back in action only during Summer 2016 which means a Thala film in the year 2016 is highly unlikely.

The years 2010 (Asal), 2011 (Mankatha), 2012 (Billa 2), 2013 (Arrambam) and 2014 (Veeram) had only one Ajith films release. Fans were lucky enough in 2015 as two films of the star viz. 'Yennai Arindhal' and 'Vedalam' have released this year.
