When the whole Tamil Nadu was searching for Vadivelu on Friday, the comedian who created waves during the election campaign was in Madurai, his native place, and maintained stoic silence over the election results.

The actor, who arrived at his house at Iravadhanallur in the temple town earlier in the day, later called on Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertlisers and DMK organising secretary (south) M K Alagiri.

Emerging out of Alagiri’s residence, Vadivelu had to face queries from journalists who wanted to know his reaction on the election trends, which predicted a huge victory for the main opposition AIADMK and Vijayakanth’s DMDK.

“No comments” was the reply from Vadivelu, who left the place in no time. Tight security was given to his residences in Madurai and Chennai even as DMDK workers thronged in front of the comedian’s house in Chennai to celebrate the Captain’s victory, against whom the actor made ‘ugly’ remarks.
