First Shahrukh Khan, next Ranbir Kapoor, then Imran Khan and now the ball is in yet another Kapoor baccha Arjun Kapoor...

We are talking about the much anticipated Karan Johar-Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘2 States’, where several actors played musical chairs for the lead role. Of late talk in the town is that ‘Ishqzaade’ famed hero Arjun Kapoor has recently bagged the role.

‘2 States’, incidentally, was earlier rumoured to be helmed by Imtiaz Ali with Ranbir in lead. But now the movie will be directed by newcomer Abhishek Verman.

Son of ace art director R. Verman, Abhishek had worked with Karan Johar in ‘My Name Is Khan’ and now is the creative director of the filmmaker’s forthcoming film ‘Student Of The Year’.

While the leading lady is still not confirmed, ‘2 States’ is expected to start its shooting by the end of this year, according to sources.

An adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s bestseller, ‘2 States’ is about a Punjabi boy falling in love with a south Indian girl and the story revolves around the ups and downs they faced before getting happily married.
