OFFICIAL: 'Vasuki' release date

'Vasuki' ('Puthiya Niyamam' in Malayalam is the original) will hit the screens on July 28th.

Starring Nayanthara and Mammootty in lead roles, the film sees the star actress in the role of the latter's wife. "'Vasuki' tells a story that deals with certain drug addicts, their ways and a rape case," the makers say. Touted to be a suspenseful family thriller, it comes with the caption 'New law against rape'.

Baby Ananya in an important role. Songs are by Vennelakanti and Bhuvanachandra.

Directed by AK Sajan, it has music by Gopi Sundar of 'Ninnu Kori'. SR Mohan is producing the Telugu version.
