Official word on '2.0' release date

There have been rumours that Rajinikanth's mega-budgeted '2.0' will be releasing only in April 2018.

Addressing the media at a grand function earlier today, Raju Mahalingam of Lyca Productions has put the record straight on this. He clarified that they are planning to release the costliest Indian movie in making on January 25 as announced earlier.

He also confirmed that the shooting has been wrapped up, "VFX works is going on and everything is on track".

The film being directed by Shankar is a sequel to the 2010 mega blockbuster 'Robot' ('Enthiran') in Tamil.
