Oka 'V' Chitram

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Telugu Comments

You don't get a more compelling character in the industry than Teja. The man, who is intensity personified, has seen more take-offs and landings than an airport, is now on a career low.

Teja whereas his heart on the sleeve. The maverick director had a series of flops. One of his last movies became so enmeshed in controversy that controversy and police case ensued.

Teja also tried re-invent himself by going back to his proteges like Nitin, Uday Kiran. Nothing has worked.

So desperate, Teja has now gone back to his formual absolute newcomers and fresh music --- he earned his spurs through this method.

And Oka V Chitram, another love story, he introduces Pradeep Pinisetty (son of Raviraja  Pinisetty), Vamsi, Poonam Kaur (Miss Andhra 2005) as main leads.

For music, he has roped in Sri Murali and for camera he has got in Sandeep Reddy (son of S Gopal Reddy). Both of them are debutants.

Teja's idea is to ensure freshness and for that newcomers are the best bet.

He is very gung-ho on the project. Dasari's production house Siri Media Pvt Limited has produced this film.

This is Siri Media's first production venture (it had earlier distributed films like Jai Chiranjeeva and Style).

Teja, who is never short of hyperboles, says the Oka V Chitram will bring in a fresh breeze into an industry that was getting stale.

Teja says this is no action or love film. 'It is full of experimentations. But commercially it will be very viable'.

The story revolves around two heroes and  three heroines. The music has already done well. Now the film has to follow suit.
