There is no dearth for entertainment in this 'Vishnuvardhana' debut flick of director P Kumar. The expectation of a veteran Dwarakish film is not fulfilled. As the fear engulfed that the film would cajole Dr Vishnuvardhana - no need to worry at all. Dwarakish has given a tribute and he has used the name of Dr Vishnuvardhana for gaining the box office draw. Other than that there is no insult to the icon of Kannada cinema Dr Vishnuvardhana who is not living with us.

Dwarakish in one of the hospital scenes touching the feet of Sudeep because his name is 'Vishnuvardhana' is enough of a tribute to the legendary actor of Kannada cinema.

The debutant P Kumar has given lovely songs, action and in the sentiments of father son, daughter in law and father in law, friendship and comedy are in right proportions.

Vishnu alias Vishnuvardhana (Sudeep) is from rags aiming to become a rich person. He has an astrologer friend whom he calls affectionately as 'Nimbehannu' (Arun Kumar). I run the `Iron' business says Vishnu to Bharathi (Bhavana) and this is not like Bellary iron, the film comes to the contemporary issue. That is just an example. In another scene the intelligent Vishnu uses the 'Agarbathi' kept in front of Ganesha idol to solve a typical issue that even not thought in 'Munna Bhai MBBS'.

Such a jolly, aspiring and handsome Vishnu is in possession of a mobile of don Adisesha (Sonu Sood). It is the brain work of Vishnu earns him two deals worth Rs.1 crore. The loss of mobile is a costly one for Adisesha because he has some hidden secrets in it to rule his underworld successfully.

Vishnu is not ready to give up the tussle finds a strange Meera (Priyamani) who is aware of all developments so far. Meera wants Vishnu to finish off Adisesha in one day. Meanwhile there is confusion in Adisesha on the son of Laundryman and Vishnu. Adisesha fixes a deal for Vishnu to kill (for a deal) laundryman son who is none other than Vishnu. At the pretext of this deal Vishnu comes to the mansion of Adisesha.

The second half with more twists and turns has some stunning disclosures. Why Meera wants to kill Adisesha, what is the hidden secret in the mobile? How Vishnu uses his muscle and brain power to put down all obstacles forms the rest of the film.

Sudeep looks as good as Dr Vishnuvardhana in younger days. The style, costumes, dance, action lovely dialogue delivery from this pillar of Kannada cinema is the main boon of this film.

Bhavana is lovely and Priyamani is in naughty roles in this film 'Vishnuvardhana'. Bhavana looks more beautiful in the song portions.

Sonu Soodh looks grand, Arun Kumar is hilarious, Kari Subbu is apt, Dwarakish is as good as ever in the supporting cast.

The lovely factor of this film is also from music director V Harikrishna. The title track, Hegidde Nanu, Edeyolage.are mellifluous songs. Well sung, well captured.

The interest what Rajarathnam had shown in song shooting is not found in talkie portions of this film. There are many shots that are weak technically. Even there is lapse in the editing of this film.

Paisa Vasool for fans!
