We often refer him to as the boy next door, for his looks, comedy and sheer coincidental acting, no wonder Bollywood has welcomed his charms by greeting with the filmfare award. Yes, Dhanush has bagged the filmfare award for the Best Male Debut of the year 2013 for his hit film “Raanjhaana” which also had Sonam Kapoor in the lead.

Although there were several entrees the nomination came as no surprise with Raanjhaana being one of the blockbusters of last year’s run and Dhanush’s recognition came in showers. We very well know one other actor who missed the filmfare debut award decades ago, yes Kamal Hassan for his “Ek Duje Keliye”. Well our local boy has indeed won the hearts of many!
