Oviya, the 'Kalavani' girl, has hopes high on 'Marina', her film with National award winning director Pandiraj of 'Pasanga' fame. The young actress expects that the film on the whole and the character she is playing in particular would fetch her rich rewards.

"The name of my character in Marina is Swapnasundari. She is a chirpy girl whose only aim in life is to crack as many as jokes as possible. She always tickles the funny bone of her friends and hence, the much wanted member of the whole gang," says Oviya.

Heaping laurels on Pandiraj, she says, "The director is so good at narration and execution. I had watched Pasanga many times and I must say that Marina would be doubly interesting when compared to his maiden venture. So lively, Marina would also convey a strong message."

Besides 'Marina', Oviya is playing one of the heroines in Sundar C's comeback film 'Masala Cafe'. "It's once again a hilarious entertainer. Sundar C is known for his sense of humour. Masala Cafe will bear his stamp from scene one till the climax. I am eager to work with Vimal in the movie, after Kalavani."
