The Premier Badminton League`s (PBL) second edition is all set to begin on the 1st of January 2017 and would go on till the 14th and the player auction took place yesterday in Delhi. The Rio Olympics Champion from Spain, Carolina Marin was the costliest buy who went to Hyderabad Hunters for 61Lakhs and 5 thousand rupees.

Captain Vijayakanth`s son Vijaya Prabakhar, the co-owner of Chennai Smashers bagged India Silver medalist P.V. Sindhu for 39 Lakh rupees. It may be recalled that Sindhu played for the same team in last years edition also. One hopes that we get to see a re-match of the Rio Games Finals played by Carolina Marin and P.V. Sindhu.
