It is official now. P Vasu will direct RK soon and the project has been titled ‘Puli Vesham’. The news has been confirmed by the director himself, who is currently busy with the post production work of his Kannada venture ‘Aptha Rakshaka’.

“The story of ‘Puli Vesham’ needed a new face. Though RK has done a couple of films before (‘Ellam Avan Seyal’ and ‘Azhagar Malai’), he is not caught in an image trap. Hence I decided to cast him as the hero,” says Vasu.

Saying that the film would go on floors next month, the director says it would convey a message besides fulfilling the expectations of movie buffs. “In short, ‘Puli Vesham’ would have something for everyone,” he says.

On ‘Aptha Rakshaka’ and its hero Vishnuvaradhan, he says, “the sudden demise of Vishnuvaradhan has literally shocked me. I am still not ready to believe he is no more. His performance in ‘Aptha Rakshaka’ is amazing. He cared for everyone on the sets.”

“It is actually not an exact sequel to ‘Apthamithra’ (‘Chandramukhi’ in Tamil). But the fear of a ghost and the ‘la ga la ga la ga’ game would continue in ‘Aptha Rakshaka’ too. We are doing graphics work for the past eight months.”
