'Paan Singh Tomar' wins the B.O. race with a 12 cr net grace

UTV spot boy’s ‘Paan Singh Tomar’ (PST) has sprinted its way into the records books of Bollywood box office. The tiny 4.5 crore biopic of an athlete who turns into a dacoit, received critical acclaim from all quarters, and went on to win the medal worth Rs. 12 crores net at the domestic box office.. And it’s still counting.

The aptly made and brilliantly acted film got the netizens and the citizens caught in the fever which after a slow start saw the swelling of crowds at theatres which never ended.

Speaking on the box office success, Siddharth Roy Kapur, CEO, UTV Motion Pictures, said, “Paan Singh Tomar has defied all market expectations and emerged a huge box office success. Great content, superb reviews, incredible word of mouth and a perfectly targeted distribution strategy has played a significant role in the film's success.
