Paathshaala - Stills

David Dhawan might be tagged as the Entertainer no.1 by many, he has changed fortunes of many actors, actress but one film old helmer Milind Ukey is not his fan.

It has been heard that he has difference with the director when he was asked in an interview on what kind of films would he like to make, Milind replied, “I have always been inspired by great Indian filmmakers like Satyajit Ray and Ritwick Ghatak and Woody Allen abroad. I’d rather make the Raju Hirani kind of comedies with meaning than the mindless potboilers which David Dhawan, who is also incidentally from the FTII, is known to make”.

We know David will take it sportingly and Raju will be pleased to have an addition to his fan list but for a filmmaker like Milind who is relatively new, he should have been diplomatic in giving his answers as in the library of Bollywood paathshaala, David Dhawan has been compared to the magnificent Manmohan Desai who still holds the cap of Bollywood premium masala helmer the director who was born to entertain.

Let’s see on this Friday how many attend this ‘Paathshaala’ helmed by Milind which has Bollywood prince charming Shahid and the irresistible Nana along with Ayesha Takia who is coming after the success of ‘Wanted’. The movie talks about the prevalent education system and its effects on children and how today’s parents in their own ambition neglect the feelings of their children.
