Pachai Kili Muthucharam

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Tamil Comments

After the resounding success in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, Gowtham Menon is ready with Pachai Kili Muthucharam. Sarath Kumar and Jyothika play the lead roles, supported by Mumbai model Milind Soman and newcomer Andrea.

Interestingly cinematographer Aravindh Krishna, a regular feature in Selvaraghavan's movie has teamed up with Gowtham for Pachai Kili Muthucharam.

The story is about blackmail and extra-marital affairs. It is about how a man is driven to despair by a small mistake of passion.

Says Gowtham, 'The hero, an amiable person, makes a mistake that proves costly. It is time for action and the hero in him is aroused and he sets about rectifying things'.

Emotion and action will be an apt way of putting it, says the director. But the director has managed to strike the right balance.

The cute relationship between Sarath and Jyothika will be a great attraction.

`I have tried to give a complete package in two hours'.

This would be Jyothika's first movie after her marriage.

Music is by Harris Jayaraj and lyrics are by Thamarai and actress Rohini.

Mumbai heartthrob Milind Soman makes his debut in Tamil playing the role with negative shades and a newcomer Andrea is also in the cast.

According to Sarath Kumar, it is a well-packaged film without heroism. `I am confident that it should find the audience support.'

Sarath, who is kind of typecast in typical films of mass heroism, needs this change to get back into groove.

'It is a nice feeling to come under Gowtham. Certainly a different film in my career,' he adds.

The film was originally named Silandi, but change to the present one as it was found to be more suitable.

Aravindh Krishna expressed his joy working with a director known for his meticulous ways.

Harris Jayaraj always gives his best for Gautham. This movie seems no different.

The film will hit the screens in December.
