For an actress like Padmapriya who proved her mettle in films such as 'Thavamai Thavamirundhu', 'Pokkisham' and 'Pazhassi Raja', the roles she is currently getting from Kollywood are not that impressive.

As a result, she has decideed to wait for challenging characters to come her way. "I've been getting offers in Tamil, but they are not the ones I expected. So I am waiting for a solid role," she says.

Recently, Padmapriya celebrated her birthday with her family members by taking a break from her shooting schedule. "I always celebrated my birthdays with my parents. There is no question of not being with them on that day."

She also spent the day with her close friends. "But without any big bash," clarifies Padmapriya, who is popular in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Bengali industries too.
