Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has suffered a decline in his fortune, but has retained his billionaire status with declared assets of Rs 1.72 billion in 2016, thanks to his son Hussain. Sharif`s son sends in substantial sums from Saudi Arabia, where he is doing business. According to reports released by the Election Commission of Pakistan, Sharif`s assets were worth Rs. 1.82 billion in 2013, a whopping 6-times increase from his Rs. 261.6 million in 2012, and he eventually became a billionaire in 2014. Since 2015, however, there has been a gradual decrease in his assets. With a wide range of investments and property, Sharif is one of the richest lawmakers of Pakistan.
