It’s like throwing friendship to the wind…

Pakistan authorities reported to have denied the release of the critically acclaimed Indian film ‘Lahore’ in their country. Based on Kickboxing Sport, ‘Lahore’ is releasing globally on 19th March (today).

Sources reported that the reason for the denial is especially the title of the film, which is being looked upon as creating hassles in the neighbouring country. Besides, it is usually considered that all the Indian Films show Pakistan in a negative way, which is an added factor for refusing the film in Pakistan.

Director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan had tried his best to create a cordial understanding and had taken a brave step to name his film Lahore. But sadly looks like the filmmaker failed to create an impression there.

‘Lahore’ features debutants Aanaahad and Shraddha Das as the lead pair along with striking actors like Farouque Shaikh, Nafisa Ali, Sushant Singh, Shraddha Nigam, Saurabh Shukla, Kelly Dorji, Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Late Nirmal Pandey and Mukesh Rishi.

The film is produced by Sai Om Film Pvt. Ltd. and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures in India.
