Head of the AAP and Former CM of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal has formally invited renowned Pakistani singer Ghulam Ali to perform in Delhi. When Shiv Sena party men threatened him saying, they would not let the show happen, in support of terror across the border. Then AAP came up in support and said, "Music has no boundaries". Kapil Mishra Delhi Culture minister also tweeted saying, "You're most welcome to the city".

Sources say that Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray met the organizers and later cancelled the show, as they don't want any Pakistani artist to perform in India itself. This concert was a tribute to late ace singer Jagjit Singh on October 9.

On all this Gulam Ali said, "I'm not annoyed on anyone but this has hurt me a lot. It's hard to understand that people still think this way and issues like this arise. This is not the first time I'm performing but sad to know that these things can cause commotion in society."

The concert for late singer Jagjit Singh was held in Shanmukhananda Hall, which is supposed to be mostly selected place for any Shiv Sena events.
