Pandiraj, the 'Pasanga' and 'Vamsam' fame director has been training ten children handpicked from the slum areas of Chennai, for his forthcoming venture which is set to go on floors soon.

The 10 children in the 9 to 12 age-group form important part of the script and hence the filmmaker had decided to give them training in acting. "But the film will not resemble Pasanga," he clarifies.

Elaborating, the National Award winner says, "My forthcoming movie is about the life in Chennai, especially in areas like fishing hamlets, harbour and beach. So I am doing immense study."

"I am yet to name the film," he says and adds: "I would like to show difference in each film of mine. It's a constant decision while doing 'Vamsam' itself that my next movie should be in the backdrop of Chennai."
