Pannaiyarum Padminiyum aims high

After the success of Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi, we saw several short film makers turn into feature film directors. The latest addition to the pack was Karthik Subburaj, whose thriller Pizza left audiences on the edge of their seats with the film still running across theatres everywhere. Now, it appears that we will see another prominent film from the short film circuit make its way to mainline cinema. The film Pannaiyarum Padminiyum is soon on the floors by Feb and we will be able to see it on screens soon.

Directed by Arun Kumar, who has risen to fame from his Naalaya Iyakkunar days, the film is adaptation fron the short film. It explains the story of an old man who and his love for the vintage car Premier Padmini. Vijay Sethupathi has once again been picked Lead role for the film and sharing the Screen Space with Jayaprakash. Another prominent name working on the film is Sreekar Prasad, the National Award winning film editor. The music has been composed by Justin Prabhakaran and cinematography is being helmed by Gokul Benoy. M R Ganesh producing this Film under Magic Box films. Will this one take off just like KSY? We'll have to wait and watch.
