The most popular Mollywood pair of the recent decade Dileep and Kavya are coming together once again to grace their fans with `Pappy Appacha'. Planned as a full length comedy by debut director Mammas Chandran, the USP of the movie will definitely be the camaraderie of its lead pair who had been together in several hit films like Chandranudikkunu Dikhil, Tenkasipattanam, Meesa Madhavan, Thilakkam, Lion, etc.

The couple who have won the Medimix "Best Pair" award acting in 16 movies together in a gap of six years, is uniting after a big gap, as Kavya was involved in the pandemonium surrounding her short lived married life in Dubai.

She will thus also has a chance to go for a popularity test with the movie, which will feature Innocent as the father of character played by Dileep. Incidentally, Dileep gained attention of the film industry by mimicking actor Innocent in his early days. And now it will be a treat to watch how they fare when they are placed as father and son.

`Pappy Appacha' is the debut movie from Mamas who had been an associate to Shafi and Rafi-Mecartin. Set in the backdrop of a Christian family, the movie will have Innocent playing Mathai, hailing form a silent distant village known as Ittirikandam. Dileep plays his son Pappy. Though not many in the village agree, both these father and son believe that they are just like the rulers of this village.

Meanwhile Pappy is all set to steal the heart of Annie teacher (Kavya), who dislikes the pompous nature of the father and son.

Pappy and his appachan has a strong contender in the village itself in the form of Shashankan Muthalali (Ashokan), who utitlizes every chance to make the life of the duo worse than ever.

So he invites another big mafia baron Maanikunju (Suresh Krishna) to the village, to end the boastful life of Pappy and Mathai.

`Pappy Appacha' will also feature KPAC Lalitha, Asokan, Rajeev, Kochupreman, Majeed Edavanakad, Manikandan, Chembil Asokan, Thesni Khan and Manju Raghavan in its castlines. The movie scripted by the director will have the cinematography by Sanjeev Shankar, while V T Sreejith does the editing.

The songs of the movie, penned by the late Gireesh Puthenchery and Vayalar Sarathchandra Varma and set to music by Vidyasagar, have already found their place in the top of the charts. Releasing this Vishu, `Pappy Appacha' will be a humorous adventure, laced with action and sentiments.
