Actor-director Parthiban has reduced his weight and sports a trim look to play a meaty role in Selvaraghavan's ‘Ayirathil Oruvan’.

Starring Karthi and Reema Sen in the lead roles, the movie went to floors a few months ago. Selvah's brother Dhanush was initially touted to play a prominent role in the movie. However at the last moment the baton was passed to Parthiban.

The veteran actor-director gleefully agreed the offer.

Parthiban is planning to commence his directorial venture 'Vithagan' very soon.
