Parvathi is debuting in Tamil Cinema through the film 'Poo' which is directed by Sasi and produced by Moser Baer in association with Nesagee Cinemas. The film has a rustic appeal oozing with innate human emotions. Parvathi plays the character of 'Mari' in the film and according to her 'has lived the experience'.

The former anchor of Kiran TV got Malayalam film offers which she lapped up quite eagerly and worked in a Kannada film before being cast in 'Poo'.

In an exclusive interview to Indiaglitz, the bubbly actress with intelligent eyes talked about her experiences as an actress, the exquisite nature of the film 'Poo' and her thirst to be associated with cinema.

Parvathi seems to possess a clear understanding of what 'art' means and comes across as a person who has her priorities right.

'I have a lot of scars thanks to Poo' beams Parvathi while describing her running and falling down while filming for 'Poo'. The actress declares she had a very good time working for the film although most other actors were complete newcomers to cinema.

'I am sure everyone will go into the theater and watch Mari and not Parvathi. I know that'll happen' says Parvathi while talking about the intense nature of her character in the film and her preparations to meet her character's demands.

When asked about the differences between the Tamil and Malayalam film industries, the actress categorically says that each film is different as per the director and that there cannot be a generalization. 'I don't think language defines the experience of working in films'.

'Every person in the unit knew what the movie was about' said the actress and heaped praises on director Sasi for his style of work.

Parvathi has learnt Tamil and finds it great. 'Tamil has a poetic rhythm to it. I am honored and proud that I know Tamil now although I don't speak it well yet'.

One gets the feeling this actress might be very different from the rest especially because she possesses a natural inclination to knowledge and a brilliant understanding of what her role in cinema is.
