The famous cop once now a famous actor, producer, director and politician BC Patil who recently started his own newspaper in his home town Hirekerur is trying his luck as distributor of his own film ‘Salute’ that is all set to release on October 2 all over Karnataka. BC Patil sixth sense is telling ‘Salute’ will be lapped up by the audience.

BC Patil very popular in the areas of Hubli, Davanagere, Dharwad, Haveri regions is taking up distribution for the first time of his home banner film ‘Salute’. The film ‘Salute’ is nothing but his autobiography. It is all about the nexus between police and politics. As a youth Patil was imprisoned for nine days in Hindalga Jail in Belgaum (he has shot in that place for the film) and later scaled heights in various capacities to the days of member of legislative Assembly. All of them are part of the film script he says speaking to media recently.

Ashwini is playing the role of Arathi a tough cop opposite the lead actor BC Patil. Vijay Kaundinya is the rabble rouser and S Prakash (who has figured in Tamil film ‘Kanakavelu Kaka’ in the get up of liquor baron Dr Vijay Mallaya) is the Home Minister in this film.
