Recently, actor and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan said that he will be handloom weaving's brand ambassador. He urged the Government of Andhra Pradesh to redress the grievances of handloom weavers at the earliest.

He has finally taken a decision to go for 'chenetha sathyagraha' in Amaravathi. It will happen on Feb 20th.

Pawan recently got emotional when he learned that scores of weavers had committed suicide in the Telugu States in recent past as a consequence of their livelihoods getting destroyed in the face of competition and faulty government interventions (or the lack of them). He is also expected to take part in the Padmashali Garjana to be later this month. By and large, this is Power Star's agenda for the month.
