A day after SJ Suryah's name did the rounds as the director of Pawan Kalyan's remake film, it is now confirmed that Santosh Srinivas of Kandireega and Rabhasa fame who will direct the film.

The Telugu remake of Ajith's Vedhalam, which has sister sentiment as a major element, will be filmed after Pawan is done with Sardaar Gabbar Singh in April.

Pawan zeroed in on Vedhalam after toying with the idea of Khushi-2 and Veeram's remake.

The choice comes as a surprise as Santosh Srinivas failed to make a 'Rabhasa' at the box office with his last outing. What he could not achieve with NTR, he may well pull it off with Pawan Kalyan. Pawan's current director, Bobby of Power fame, too, has no record of delivering a blockbuster.
