The Mysore District Commissioner PN Vasthrada on the advice of the Karnataka chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda has identified the land of 3.3 acres on Nanjangud Road opposite Sri Ganapathi Sachidananda Ashrama for the formation of Dr Vishnuvardhana Memorial.

Mysore is the place where Vishnuvardhana was born and this is where he died in the early hours on 30th December 2009. This is the most suitable place for the memorial of the actor is a well thought out plan. But the sentimental feel and sanctity remains at two acres of land next to Abhiman Studio that is now caught up with legal battle.

It is two years of passing of Dr Vishnuvardhana and nothing concrete has taken shape. To form the final shape of Dr Rajakumar Memorial at Kanteerava studio it is five years now.

Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana and her son in law Anirudh have decided on the shifting of the memorial to the serene place on Nanjangud Road. They held meeting with the Mysore DC on this issue.

The 'Sri Chakra' shape is the initial plan for the memorial of Dr Vishnuvardhana.
