The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld actor Sanjay Dutt's conviction in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case. His sentence was reduced from six to five years in jail. Having already served 18 months in jail the actor will now have to spend another 3 and half years in jail.

Dutt who was coming towards the end of his shoot for producer TP Aggarwals’s film ‘Policegiri’ left the entire team shocked and shattered for him. Co-producer Rahul Aggarwal has given his full support to Sanju and they all are praying and hoping for a change in the sentence as he still has a chance to file a review petition against the verdict within the next four weeks.

Stated Rahul, "Only good things happen to good guys and I haven't found a better human being in this industry."

'Policegiri' is the remake of Tamil film 'Saamy' that featured Vikram ('Raavan' and 'David' fame) and 'Khatta Meeta' fame Trisha. The Hindi version has Prachi Desai opposite Sanjay.

Besides ‘Policigiri’ there are few other projects on Sanju’s pending list... According to a trade analyst, while ‘Policegiri’ is 80% complete, Raju Hirani's film PK is 50% complete, and Karan Johar's home production ‘Unglee’ is 30% complete.
