The most popular actress of Kannada cinema Pooja Gandhi of ‘Mungaru Male’ fame (the top most grosser of Kannada cinema so far) turns anchor for Kannada satellite channel Kasthuri owned by Smt Anitha Kumaraswamy wife of former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy.

Pooja Gandhi traveled widely all over Karnataka and selected 25 persons for the television show ‘Hero No 1’. In the 25 episodes the various procedures are conducted and it is telecast in Kasthuri Kannada channel. The final winner will get the opportunity to play the hero role in the film produced by Smt Anitha Kumraswamy.

Meanwhile Pooja Gandhi’s first double role film ‘Rani Maharani’ the yesteryear same film and contents repetition that starred Malashri in double role is now shelved. Director B Ramamurthy thought of doing ‘Rani Maharani’ once again but on the advice of producer Jai Jagdish the original film producer he gave it up.
