Director Bharathiraja, who created several artistes in Kollywood, tried desperately to establish his son Manoj K Bharathy as a hero.

Unfortunately all his attempts ended in vain as Manoj's film did not go well with the audience.

He acted in nearly half-a-dozen film including a few produced and directed by his father.

Now Manoj has plans otherwise. He has accepted to play the negative role.

Grapevine has it that Manoj is playing a dreaded villain in a movie titled Lemon.

The movie is being directed by Sai Mohan.

Impressed with the story, Bharathiraja reportedly encouraged Manoj to play the negative role.

On his part, Manoj says, when my father can act in a villain role (Ayudha Ezhuthu), why not me?
