Prabhu to get doctorate

Popular actor Prabhu, son of thespian Sivaji Ganesan, will be conferred with an honorary doctorate by Sathyabama University, for his contribution to cinema.

The actor will be felicitated at the convocation ceremony of the varsity on the university campus on May 12.

Prabhu has appeared in over 150 films. After his debut in the film 'Sangili' in 1982, he acted in several movies. Apart from taking the lead role, he has acted in several types of roles, including comedian and character roles.
