In most of his B-town movies, Prakash Raj had made a powerful impact by playing a baddie. Last he was seen in a villainous avatar in Rohit Shetty’s hit film ‘Singham’ (2011). But now, the National Award winning actor is all set to change his on-screen image.

We've been told that the 48year-old actor will now be seen playing the role of an affable-yet-strict teacher to actor Farhan Akhtar in his next, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Milkha Singh biopic, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ (BMB).

Incidentally, this will be Prakash’s first Hindi film role where he doesn't play a negative character.

A source close to the film revealed, "Prakash will be playing the ustad (teacher) to Farhan’s character in BMB. He will be seen as Farhan’s first teacher when he joins the army. His character is of a strict teacher, a commanding officer of the platoon, whose job is to push all the army cadets to their limits."

In the film, Prakash’s character’s job is to refine and discipline the cadets who have recently joined the army. The source added, "Milkha joins the armed forces after a rough phase during his younger days. There he meets his first teacher, who is not only a strict disciplinarian, but also very positive in his approach. He plays a very important role in Milkha’s life in terms of developing his mind and attitude."

Directed by Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra, BMB has Sonam Kapoor starring opposite Farhan. The film is slated to release on 12th July.
