Accomplished actor that Prakash Raj is, he has just won his ninth Nandi Award. The National Award-winning actor may best be dubbed as the winningest actor of South India now.

He has won his latest Nandi for the Best Supporting actor's role in Sreenu Vaitla's Dookudu. It saw him in the role of a former people’s leader relegated to the confines of his bungalow after being in coma for more than a decade. Back in his conscious, he bonds big time with his family, while his son (played by Mahesh Babu) tries his best to make him cheer up.

Portraying child-like innocence and the emotions of an average father proud of his son's achievements, he excelled in the role with ease. This much-deserved Nandi has made him happy.

In a statement issued from where he is currently shooting for Dabanng-2, he said that he was happy on being bestowed the honour yet again.
