The cast and crew of the hit film 'Pranchiyettan and the Saint' would celebrate its fifty days run at Lulu Centre, Kochy. The movie which highlighted the Thrissur slang had been a sleeper hit among the Ramzan releases, with a very novel theme and presentation.

All those who are associated with the movie will turn up for the function, according to director Ranjith. The movie has Mammootty, Priyamani, Kushboo, Siddhiq, Innocent, Ganapathy, Tini Tom, Jagathy, and foreign actor Jesse Fox Allen, as the Saint.

Meanwhile, director Ranjith is also in full fury as his last movie, 'Palery Manickyam' was not selected for the Panorama. Ranjith believes that the presence of jury member Sivan who had some personal grudges against him is the reason for the non selection of the critically acclaimed flick. Ranjith who had commented about relatives of contestants in the jury of National Award had created a controversy, as Sivan's movie was selected the best children's film by a jury which included his son.

Sivan however rejected such allegations and said that the films were selected solely on the basis of merit.

Shyamaprasad's 'Electra', Jithu Joseph's 'Mummy and Me', Lenin Rajendran's 'Makaramanju', Premlal's 'Athmakatha' and M T Annur's 'Kalchilambu' are the five films that have been selected to the year's Indian Panorama.
