Actor Prashanth who was a star in 1990s and early years of the new millennium is acting as lead hero after a long gap in Sahasam` directed by newcomer Arun Raj Varma. It is the remake of the Telugu super hit film Julayee` starring Allu Arjun and Ileana. The film is being produced by Prashanth`s father and senior actor Theyagarajan and he has decided to make his son`s re-entry, a grand affair which would place him in the league of most sought after heroes.

The film has Amanda as the lead heroine opposite Prashanth and songs have been shot in foreign locales. The film has an strong supporting cast that includes Nasser, Sonu Sood, Thambi Ramaiah, Devardarshini, M.S.Basker, John Vijay and others.

Music has been scored by S.Thaman while lyrics have been penned by Madhan Karky and Na.Muthukumar.

The music album will be released in a grand function to be held in Malaysia on August 8. After the audio release the film`s theatrical release date will be announced as the shooting is nearing completion.
