The current election scenario in Andhra Pradesh has become more of a battle between some of the most powerful movie families. While megastar Chiranjeevi and his brothers are leading the Praja Rajyam, the Nandamuri clan is leading the Telugu Desam chariot.

Interestingly, their arch opponent Congress has not come up with a fitting response in terms of movie glamour. It was said for a while that Prince Mahesh Babu was all set to do a stint or two for them but all that has turned out to be a hoax apparently.

Many political analysts are saying that the presence of Mahesh would have created quite an impact and it would have been a solid counter to the tsunami created by NTR jr and the following by power star Pawan Kalyan.
