In an interview given to a Malayalam daily, Priyadarshan answered a question regarding introducing his friend Mohanlal`s son Pranav as a hero through his film.

When asked about doing a fillm with Pranav Mohanlal in the lead, Priyan replied – (Malayalam translation) – “I am happy to do a film with Pranav. But I don`t want to direct his first film as hero. It is a big risk and I don`t want to take that responsibility. Let him do his first film with someone he likes. If I get a story that is apt for him, I will definitely do a film with him. But I can`t say when it will happen. I don`t plan and do things.”
