As we already know, Bollywood actor Sharukh Khan is making a movie named "Chennai Express". This film is directed by Rohit Shetty and is to be a romantic comedy which is a story of a man who travels from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and the events that take place en route.

A lot of southern aspects will be shown in this film so the director wanted a top Kollywood actress to do an item number in the movie. Nayantara was approached for this part but turned it down politely. The search was back on for a South Indian actress who was known in all 4 languages. They zeroed in on Priyamani. Yes! She has done films in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam and now is going to make her debut in Bollywood with an item number in "Chennai Express".
