Being behind the bars is for nothing but punishment. Yet, some species are cursed with such existence, just so that we humans can relax on a day or two, watching them in the vicinity but confined. Zoos are places of learning, but it is unquestionable truth that the majestic animals are caged for life. PETA has come up in protest of this cruelty, based on a survey of Indian zoos that reveals that animals are subjected to pathetic cruelty and neglect. Actors have also come in support of this and Priyamani is out campaigning for PETA.
The actress has posed in a tiger striped suit questioning the cruelty towards animals like lion, tiger and other majestic feline animals. "It is unfair on the animals to cage them just so that we can take a look at them. If you wish to learn about them, take to documentaries or national parks than zoos" says Priyamani whose pictures for PETA have gone viral on the internet overnight.
