Priyamani has reportedly walked out of ‘Sangoli Rayanna’, a Kannada film starring Darshan in the lead. Directed by Naganna, the movie revolves around the life of a prominent freedom fighter from Karnataka, who fought the British till his death.

“We were initially assured by Priyamani and her manager that she would work in this film. We were even asked to pay the advance. But were informed later that she did not want to be a part of the project”, Naganna reportedly said.

Trying to find out the reason behind the “sudden decision” of the actress, he added: “It is not a glamourous role and may not be a complete commercial flick as the story deals with history and happenings”.

Meanwhile, Priyamani’s second Kannada film, ‘Eno Onthara’ with Ganesh will be released shortly. Her trilingual ‘Raktha Charithra’, directed by Ram Gopal Varma, is also getting ready for release.
