In last month family members of Abhiman studio admitted in front of the media after meeting the director of Kantterava studios Vishukumar PN that there is no problem with allocation of two acres of land to Dr Vishnuvardhana Memorial situated in the Abhiman studio land.

Accordingly the work for Dr Vishnuvardhana memorial was also supposed to begin. Now the daughter of late TN Balakrishna veteran actor (in his name the land was given by government of Karnataka) Geetha Bali has come in the way to get proper rights in the management of the Abhiman Studio constructed by her father.

The land dispute of Abhiman Studio is in the court since 2004. Geetha Bali in her appeal has stated that she does not want the share in the sale of two acres land for Dr Vishnuvardhana memorial. What I want is the stake in the development of my father’s studio. For that I need the share in the management of my father studio. In case that is agreed I would take back my litigation says the daughter of Balakrishna Geetha Bali of Balakrishna Trust.

The government of Karnataka has set aside Rs.10 crore for Dr Vishnuvardhana Memorial in the budget of last year. In that Rs.5 crores was released for acquiring two acres of land from Abhiman Studio at Rs.2 crores of rupees. The blue print was also readied and soil test was also conducted for a park, musical fountain, meditation center in the ‘Srichaktra’ shape of the Dr Vishnuvardhana Memorial.

Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana is upset with some more problems coming in the way. The litigation is leading to all delay in the work of my husband’s memorial she pointed.
