The team of producers that will be contesting in the upcoming elections for the office-bearer posts of Tamil Film Producers Council met the press and media on Sunday.

Vishal who spearheaded the team and its campaign will be contesting for the top post of President. Producer K.E.Gnanavel Raja will be contesting for the Honarary Secretary post.

In yesterday's meeting Gnanavel Raja spoke some important points that deserve everyone's attention.

"During the last elections for the TFPC, Producer Kalaipuli.S.Thanu promised that he will take all necessary steps to ensure that all the producers of Tamil films get revenue from the sale of Satellite rights for telecasting new Tamil films in Television channels. However after becoming the President he has not taken any action for that.

Leave alone, small producers, he could not sell the satellite rights of his own films 'Kabali' and 'Theri'. How can we expect him to help small producers in this matter?

Our team's top priority will be to take immediate action for the smooth sale of satellite rights of every Tamil film- be it a Rajinikanth starrer or a Rishikanth starrer- according to its satellite market value. We will also take steps to sell the rights of 'Kabali' and 'Theri'.

Vishal and all other members in his team have been working together ever since they were elected and now all the loans of the Sangam have been repaid. They have also started the construction of a new building as promised during the poll. I request all the producers to support the team lead by Vishal so that the Producers Council will also prosper like Nadigar Sangam. "
