Though a Kannadiga, Prakash Raj earned a good name as a typical artiste and is ruling the roost in Telugu and Tamil film industries as well, besides proving himself as a producer.

However, he faced the wrath of the Producers' Council of Andhra Pradesh in the form of a ban. According to information, a production unit called Sridevi Cine Chitra launched a film 'Siddhu' in 2003. However, Prakash Raj failed to adjust dates to the unit and the producer lodged a complaint with the Producers Council on 20.12.2003.

The Producers Council held discussions with the Movie Artistes Association also and gave a notice to Prakash Raj on May 14 this year to allot dates to the producer.

Prakash Raj failed to heed the direction and hence the ban. The council made it clear that those who are already doing films with him could continue and the ban will come into effect with regard to the new films.

It is not new for Prakash Raj to face allegations. Earlier, he had verbal duels with Pawan Kalyan and others during various shoots.

However, he was able to manage as some directors are only after him due to his versatility. Moreover, his recent film 'Bommarillu' where he played the hero's father role earned him a lot of fame.
