The makers of 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' are finding themselves in a strange predicament. On one side the film's promos have managed to entice the target audience - youth - due to it's humour quotient that has it's finger on the sex quotient. On the other hand they don't want audience to get a wrong message around the film to be perceived as a sex comedy.

"That's because the film is much beyond that", says director Luv Ranjan, "Yes there are jokes that have a naughty element to them but they are definitely not cheap. They are the kind that find a mention in everyday conversation of urban youth and have that cool quotient to them."

Abhishek Pathak, a youngster himself who is making his first film as a producer, nods in agreement, "The film is young at heart and contemporary. However it isn't something that would be alien to those out there in their 30s or 40s. Even grown ups would be able to relate to it because after all men will be men, whether in today's time or the era gone by."

When questioned around the film being perceived as a sex comedy on the same lines as hit Hollywood series 'American Pie', Abhishek says, "'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' is an out and out comedy but it would be wrong to classify it as a sex comedy. We aren't making an 'American Pie' here. Yes, the film is targeted at youth but it is more like a satire on love."

"All men who has been with a woman in their lifespan would end up remembering what happened to them when they fell prey to their charm", adds Luv, "Yes, the tagline reads 'love breathes its last' but there is a twist to the tale here as well. We have ensured that this is not 'love ka the end' but 'beginning of something new' for all men out there. Watch out for it."

We certainly will once the film releases all over on 20th May.
