Director duo Abbas-Mustan are back with the sequel to their blockbuster hit Race. The film boasts of a multistarcast and will have Octane adrenalin pumping action. While John Abraham, Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor entertain you with action, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandes and Ameesha Patel provide the glam quotient in the film. Let's find out how well music composer Pritam Chakraborty has recreated the magic with his music.

Be Intehaan

Singers:Atif Aslam, Sunidhi chauhan

Lyrics: Mayur Puri

The album opens with a soft romantic number Be intehaan. Soft lilting notes of the piano are followed by Sunidhi Chauhan sexy voice, Atif Aslam follows with his passionate and intense notes. Mayur Puri has simply penned soulful words which match the mellifluous music. The rendition grows on the listener and Pritam has let the mood take over with this superb number. A song you should not miss on. Abbas Mustan has done complete justice to the song by picturising it aptly on the scenic locales of Istanbul. This one will be a chartbuster.

Remix Version: There is also a remix version by Atif Aslam and Sunidhi Chauhan which have fast beats and is a peppy number. However the earlier version is more interesting to listen to.

There is also an unplugged version by Rahul Vaidya which has the soft lilting notes of the Piano and is a slower version.

Lat Lag Gayee

Singers: Benny Dayal, Shalmali Kholgade

Lyrics: Mayur Puri

Next in the album is Lat lag gayee a typical party number with a lot of fast beats, the drums and the guitar beats. Benny Dayal and Shalmali Kholgade really take you to the dance floor with their renditions. The lyrics too are catchy and apt for a club number. A great number for the dance floor.

Party On My Mind

Singers: Yo Yo Honey Singh, K.K., Shefali Alvares

Lyrics:Prashant Ingole

Party on my mind is a groovy number from the start with a lot of techno beats. Yo Yo Honey Singh, K.K and Shefali Alvares have sung the song with full energy dominated by the thumping beats. The music is accompanied by brilliant vocals. Lyrics by Prashant Ingole are so so. But it is the music that stays on your mind. This number is going to be popular at the party circuit this year. So put on your dancing shoes and groove to this number.

There is also a remixed version which is definitely going to be the next party anthem. High octane music and vocals will definitely hit the dance floors.

Allah Duhai Hai

Singers:Atif Aslam, Vishal Dadlani, Anushka Manchanda &Ritu Pathak

Lyrics: Mayur Puri

Last but not the least is Allah duhai hai the rehashed version of the title track which has been retained in the sequel as well. Atif Aslam, Vishal Dadlani and Anushka Manchanda croon this number with a lot of excitement and peppy beats. The song has rap by girls and edge-of-the-seat excitement that narrates and tells us what Race is all about.

Mahshup 2013

Singer:Rahul Vaidya

Race 2 - Mashup has all four key songs Allah Duhai Hai, Party On My Mind, Be Inthaan and Lat Lag Gayee amalgamated into one track and they have also been remixed. It's a unique number that we rarely come across in albums. It has a lot of beats and techno sounds once again a very energetic and peppy number. It will be a Race to the dance floor.

On the whole: Pritam has come out with a good album but the let down is that there are only four tracks in the album. The last track is a masshup so it can't really be considered as a complete track. With a multi starrer one would have expected Pritam to churn out more romantic tracks and avoided the remixes. In general Pritam has showcased only a bit of his talent with this album.
