Veteran actor Radharavi is as experienced in Tamil Nadu politics as he is in cinema. He was formerly with the DMK and later switched loyalties to AIADMK. He has also held the post of an MLA through an ADMK ticket under late Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha's rule.

In a recent wedding function, Radharavi shocked everyone by stating that DMK's Working President M.K.Stalin is the only deserving candidate to become the next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and lead the state.

This lead to rumours that the sexagenarian actor has joined DMK again. However the senior actor denied that he has joined the main opposition party of the present Tamil Nadu Assembly.

In a recent interview Radharavi said that he has been keeping distance from the party affairs ever since iconic leader Jayalalitha was hospitalized. He also said he does not have any animosity with the current leadership of the party.

Radharavi said Stalin has come from the lower rungs of the party, was attacked by the police when Emergency was imposed and he is down to earth and simple.

About joining DMK he said he will announce his plans after discussing with his family and close friends.

It is to be noted that Radharavi is the son of veteran actor M.R.Radha who has been an active member of Dravidian Movement, considered as the parent organisation of DMK.
