Rain lash in Bengaluru, life goes out of order

The Bengaluru rains in the last one week have disturbed the life of the people. Most of the low level areas flooded with water, the roads have become swimming pools, there is change in the venue of rains too on some days.

The last three days rain disturbed the residents of Vijayanagara, hennur, Thanisandra, Hebbala, Basavanapura, Yediyur, Vasanthapura, Kottige Palya, Subrmanyanagara, Bilikahalli, Ijipura, Koramangala, halasoor, Cox Town and other places.

The early morning 2.30 am to 4 am rain is further disturbing. At Richmond Circle Richmond Tower basement there was more than 5 Feet of rain and 30 plus vehicles were immersed in water. In Yelahanka , Chikkabommasandra, Basavanapura, Gayathri Nagara, Devasandra water entered the houses besides the roads in most of the area leading to slow traffic.

For clearing the clogged water BBMP had to work for one full day. Very next day same process of drawing water was the task.

At under bridge of Vasanthnagar, Nandini Layout, Kottigepalya, Bilekahalli junction, Indiranagara, Wipro junction, Dommalur vehicular traffic is dead slow.

In Lal Bagh lake the snakes have come out from lashing rain. 57 snakes at this place were caught for safety.

It is 122.5 MM rain according to weather department – it is on just 8 pm to 8 am on one day. In some other areas average of 56.8 MM rain fall was recorded in just four hours.
