Rajini & 'Varuvaan Thalaivan'

A film is taking off with the blessings of Superstar Rajinikanth, with its title conveying an implicit message to his fans. The movie, 'Varuvaan Thalaivan', is a bilingual to be simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugu, with Manoj, son of Rajini's good friend Mohanbabu playing the lead role.

Recently, the veteran Tollywood actor's daughter and Manoj's sister Lakshmi Manchu, who is producing the film, met Rajini at his Poes Garden residence, and sought his blessings for the success of the film. "Rajini uncle looks much better than before. He was happy to know about our project," she says.

'Varuvaan Thalaivan', which has Deeksha Seth as heroine, will also have K Bhagyaraj, Manobala and Sonu Sood in pivotal roles. Shooting is expected to start by the end of this month. "It will be a youthful entertainer which would strike a chord with Tamil and Telugu audience," Lakshmi says.

Manoj, who was seen playing the lead role in 'Ennai Theriyuma', is a popular actor in Tollywood, while his sister taking care of movie production business. Their father Mohanbabu shares a very close friendship with Rajini for more than three decades.
