BJP MP Subramanian Swamy has been raising controversial comments against Tamil Nadu for the past few months. During the Jallikattu protests, he referred the Tamilians as 'Porukkis' and was also involved in a twitter skirmish with veteran Tamil cinema actor Kamal Haasan.

In a recent televised interview, Swamy has said that Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are cowards. He commented, "As for Kamal, he is an arrogant fool. Rajini called off his Jaffna visit fearing the Sri Lankans." Swamy also highlighted that "one should consider everything when accepting a request to grace an event and only then should give his word."

Subramanian Swamy's claims have invoked strong backlashes from fans over social media.
