After many rounds of speculations and guessing games, the title of Superstar Rajinikanth`s next film to be directed by Pa.Ranjith was confirmed. The Madras` director took it to Twitter to announce the film`s title as Kabali`.

Ever since the title was confirmed there were jubilations amidst the innumerable fans of the Superstar. But it did not take a long time to get into a controversy too.

Within hours after the title of Rajini film was announced Sivakumar, claimed that he had registered the title Kabali` for the film he is producing and directing with new faces and 90% of the shoot of his film has been completed. Sivakumar alleges that he registered the title with the Producers Guild, a few years back and was shocked to learn that the same title has been used for a Rajini film while just six days of shoot is remaining for his film.

Sivakumar further alleged that though he approached the guild to renew the title many times the office bearers did not accept his renewal application and asked him to wait as elections for the guild were approaching.

However Kalaipuli S.Thanu the producer of the Rajini-Ranjith film has confirmed in an interview to a popular English daily that they have registered the title Kabali` only after checking for its availability with the Tamil Film Producers Council. Producers Guild and the Film Chamber. He has also assured that the problem relating to the title will be resolved soon.
